From school and undergraduate textbooks through to mathematical and other scientific journals and monographs, I can provide copy-editing, typesetting and proofreading services to suit your requirements.

‘The editorial work on these highly mathematical items was first class, and you got up to speed with the Open University’s TeX system very quickly.’

– Garry Hammond, Editor, Mathematics and Computing, The Open University

For typesetting and on-screen editing of books and journals involving significant amounts of mathematical material, the obvious choice of software is the ubiquitous TeX system, which I have used (primarily with the LaTeX macro package) since 1991.

As a mathematician (and also a physics graduate), I can apply my understanding of mathematics (at school and undergraduate level and, in some fields, at research level) to go beyond superficial editing and proofreading. If you want me to check mathematical proofs or solutions to exercises, I can usually do so.

I have received training in mathematics editing from the Society for Editors and Proofreaders and have experience of working on mathematics textbooks at school and university levels.
